Course Delivery Guide and Terms of Use

In straightforward English!

Thank you for joining the Chunk Training community.

We are a service-led company so if you have any queries, ideas, or need any extra services to those listed below, please ask. We will help if we can.

Chunk Training is hereafter referred to as ‘we’

The Trainee Supervisor is referred to as ‘you’

‘Released’ means that a link to the course is sent to each trainee.

A ‘course’ is a set of 2-6 modules.

A ‘module’ is a single interactive presentation within a course.

Your purchase will include:

At least one course, bought for the required number of trainees. Prices per trainee reduce as the number of trainees rise. Additional trainees can be added later at the same price as the original group.

Working with your practice

Your practice should nominate a Trainee Supervisor. This will be our point of contact with your practice.

We aim to respond to any issues raised within one working day (Mon-Fri). Issues may be raised by Email info@chunktraining.co.uk or by phone 01934 235850 (outside UK +44 1934 235850).

Delivery of courses

One module will be released every 2 weeks.

If you purchase more than one course, we will still send one module IN TOTAL every 2 weeks and run the courses sequentially, unless you have different requirements by prior arrangement. For example, if you buy two courses both of which have 5 modules, we will send modules from the first course on weeks 0, 2, 4, 6, & 8, and then the second course following completion of the first course, i.e. on weeks 10, 12, 14, 16 & 18.

If you add additional trainees after the course has started, we will release the modules in the same way, but more rapid release may be appropriate, and can be arranged by mutual agreement.

A reminder is sent after a week to any trainee who has not completed the module.

Trainees have access to the course for a month after the date of release of the last module to that trainee. Each module is taken once only although the content is available for review for as long as the course is available.

The practice may add new trainees to any course for as long as the course is available, which will be at least 1 year from the date of purchase.

The courses are for viewing only by the trainee for whom they are intended. They should not be shared, copied or otherwise distributed. The only exception to this is the Free Trial module, which is freely available to all, and we would love you to share it!

Course personalisation

The modules covering vaccination and parasite treatment are personalised to your practice’s protocols. A form will be sent to you requesting a list of the products and protocols which you use. We will require a simple default protocol for vaccination, worm, flea and tick prevention for a standard dog and cat, puppy and kitten, and rabbit (if used) and can add up to 2 other parasiticides which you wish us to mention.

Use of course modules

Trainees simply need to have internet connectivity to access the courses and Chunk Training will provide them with a username (typically their e-mail address) and password to do this. The course modules themselves are self-explanatory and trainees will be guided through each module without any need for further supervision.

Trainees can start and stop modules as they wish, and when returning to a part completed module it will resume from where the user left off. Any questions or activity within the module that the trainee has already completed will also be restored to how they were answered / completed.

The courses can be accessed via a web browser on a variety of devices; PCs, laptops or tablets. For PCs Flash will need to be installed, and for iPads there is a special application that the user will be prompted to download once they login. Please see the ‘System Requirements’ section later for further details.

Reporting of trainee progress and performance

Most modules have a quiz to check trainees' understanding of course content and we will provide regular reports to your Training Supervisor on the trainees' course progress, quiz scores, and survey feedback. Also, if desired we can also provide you with direct access to an online reporting facility where you can analyse your trainees’ performance yourself.

System Requirements

Our courses can be viewed either via browser on laptops and desktop machines which will require Flash installed, or on an Apple iOS iPad using a free downloadable App. The minimum system requirements for each of these are as follows.

Support is provided by E-mail in the first instance, at support@chunktraining.co.uk. We endeavour to respond to all queries within one working day (Mon – Fri). Most issues will be fully resolved in this time. Each module contains a section asking for feedback, and any non-urgent comments or suggestions can be left here.

Chunk Training courses are designed to give an overview of many issues relating to communication with clients in veterinary practice. All practices are different, and the course content may not be identical to your practice policy. We endeavour to point out where this may be an issue as your trainees go through the course, but cannot take responsibility for items that give information that may not be identical to your practice policy. The personalised modules are created using the information provided by you.
